VII | Ninth.

Dear blog,

Seiko is nine months old today!! I'm proud to say she's a matured girl now cause she had her first menses 5 days before turning 9 months old.

And to celebrate that, I went to get her some mooncakes, in conjunction with the mooncake festival! Passed by the Pet Lovers at Nex and saw these cute mooncakes made for dogs. I'm not sure if it's expensive to pay $9.80 for 3 small pieces of it but I guess it's fine to indulge from time to time. I still remembered I steamed a whole chunk of salmon for her last month!

There were only pandan and carrot flavours left, so I got 2 pandan and 1 carrot. Will be giving her 1 each day during dinner! She loves it, for when she's already full, she rested for awhile before going for seconds. Forever my cutest baby!!

Apart from this, just a little update about recent stuffs; met up with the girls on one of the days for a catch-up and had brunch at 49Seats.

My pasta and mushroom soup were okay. Not amazing, not that bad... Anyway the one we went was at Orchard Central, and I supposed we got snapchatted by the staffs there as Shalote and Felicia was standing up trying to get a good photo of our food, haha. It bugged Felicia out a lot and she kept saying she was still angry at the staffs LOL.

After brunch we went for karaoke after my suggestion!! My love for karaoke never dies. But before that we took neoprints to relive those moments during secondary school where we would spend a few bucks each just to take them. It used to be so fun, and we could spend a long time doing that. Well not anymore!! Still it was good to be able to reminisce. Didn't get to stay for dinner with them as I had to go off to a BBQ.

This photo of Seiko was taken after I brought her along to jog. I was beat yet she still had the energy to instigate me to play with her! Really amazed at her energy level and the look on her face is just so darn ass cute.

Planning to shave her fur short, as soon as she's off her heat because her fur's all matted up in ridiculous manner!! I admit, I'm not diligent in brushing her fur, so I tried to salvage the situation by removing the mats painstakingly days ago but.... There's just too much, and it hurts her too. So, after shaving her this time I'll brush her everyday! I can't argue that she looks extremely cute with long fur looking like a puffy brown cloud hehehe.

Also went for dinner at this Italian restaurant days ago and it was madness!!! The food was so good, probably one of the best I've ever had in a long time. Talking about restaurant standard, not compared to coffeeshop food because they have awesome food too, haha.

The restaurant is Al Forno, if I remembered correctly.

First photo is the mushroom soup, and it's so so so good!! The nicest I ever had I swear, with the damn good mushroom inside it just made it sooooooooo yums. Next is the seafood soup, also the nicest I've had so far! Full of seafood inside, not like some cheapo canned stuffs. I love love love it so much!

Seafood pizza ordered to share, which I chose and definitely didn't regret! The pizza itself tasted awesome, with all the seafood even better! I have no idea how they made it taste so damn good. I had 2 slices along with the 2 soup and I was already so full. Didn't expect myself to finish my main course which was.....

... Seafood vongole! Was extremely surprised when it arrived. It didn't have an irresistible aroma, it looked pretty average but it was the bestttttttttttttttttttttttttt. It was also the first time I see more clams than the spaghetti itself. It looks like it's a lot from the photo, (it usually is the case when it first arrives) then normally you'd be disappointed because the spaghetti is just elevated with like veggies at the bottom or what nots.

BUT.

BUT.

The spaghetti was elevated by a mountain of clams!! Then usually if this is the case, most of it would just be empty shells with no meat.

BUT.

BUT.

I COULD ACCOUNT EVERY CLAM MEAT TO A SHELL.

TALK ABOUT OH MY GOD.

Not only was it stuffed with clams, it tasted oh so heavenly. I loved it to bits. I could have seconds even after eating so much. It doesn't sound like a lot but when you ate 2 pizza slices and had 2 bowls of soup, you'd be agreeing with me.

Man I haven't been so happy eating in a long time. I was even happier than when I had great japanese food.

I'll definitely go back when I feel richer!!!

I hope Seiko's heat ends fast, it quite unsightly to be greeted with blood stains on the floor now and then...
